Selvedge denim, like the OG Selvedge Yep-001 Japanese Selvedge and the "Bins" Selvedge, is woven on old-style shuttle looms that finish each edge cleanly, the detail you see cuffed at the hem. It is prized for its density and the way it ages. The weight matters too: a 16oz pair such as the Black 16 Oz wears heavier and structured, while the P001selv "XXII" 22OZ is about as heavy as everyday denim gets, built to last a very long time.

How to Build a Yuremane Fit
The raw denim fit
Start with the Cezen Raw or an indigo P001, add a plain T001A tee and let the jeans become the centerpiece. Over months the fades do the styling for you, so the rest of the outfit stays simple on purpose.

Caring for Raw and Selvedge Denim
Good denim rewards a little patience. With raw pairs, resist washing them for as long as is comfortable, ideally several weeks of regular wear, so the creases and fades set where your body actually bends. When you do wash, turn the jeans inside out, use cold water and a gentle cycle, and hang them to dry rather than using a dryer, which is what fades indigo unevenly and shrinks the fit.
Selvedge and heavyweight pairs follow the same routine and simply last longer for it. Spot-clean small marks between washes instead of running a full cycle, and store your denim folded or hung by the waistband so the leg keeps its shape.
